Mr. Jimmy Chan received his vocal training in Hong Kong and his interest in choral music was initiated by the late Rev. Moses We, his mentor who taught music at his school. After attaining his L.R.S.M., Jimmy went on to perform widely and successfully in solos, in addition to various choirs, both locally and abroad. He took part in the International Artist Music festival in Miami in 1980 and won First Prize in Singing. In 1983 he pursued his study at Indiana University in US where he was awarded Master of Music in Singing.

　　Beside his career in solo and vocal teaching, Jimmy has been most fervent in promoting choral activities, including workshops and courses to further choral conducting and musicianship. To broaden his own horizon and enrich his skill in choral conducting, he regularly attended seminars and symposiums in Europe and US. For over 30 years he has conducted over 20 choirs, including Hong Kong Oratorio Society. Formerly an Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Children's Choir, he is widely praised for being the Founder-Conductor of 8 choral societies.

　　Formerly a voice teacher at University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, he now teaches singing at Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. At present, in addition to serving his local church as conductor of the church choir, he is the Music Director of Ella Kiang Singers, the Hong Kong Teachers' Chorus and the Trinity Children's Choir.

　　陳晃相先生早年在本港接受聲樂訓練，考獲L.R.S.M.。合唱方面他深受已故吳東牧師之啟蒙。自七零年代起，他已活躍於樂壇，經常與本港及海外多個樂團和合唱團合作。八零年他在美國邁阿美「國際藝術家音樂節」奪得歌唱首獎。八三年再赴美深造於印第安納大學，取得演唱碩士學位。

　　陳氏除演唱及教學外，亦熱中於推廣合唱活動，曾多次主持合唱及聲樂研討課程。三十多年來，他曾指揮包括香港聖樂團的合唱團超過二十個，亦曾歷任香港兒童合唱團藝術總監，及八個合唱團之創團指揮。

　　陳氏歷任香港大學及演藝學院兼聲樂教師，現於中文大學及浸會大學教授聲樂。目前事奉於教會詩班，同時為江樺合唱團、香港教師愛樂合唱團，及聖三一兒童合唱團之音樂總監。
